Sam got sick Sunday. Up until yesterday, she had an episode of throwing up.
Wednesday, I felt tired and realized that since Friday of last week, part of my daily routine was to do the laundry! Just for this week, I did the laundry for 6 days! Of course, this week was a special case because we had an unusual number of clothes that needed cleaning due to Sam being sick.
It was unfortunate that she had to throw up on me (yes, it was always on me!) and her poo overflowing from her nappy and Liam also getting sick and I deciding to wash and keep two of our comforters (as it will already be Spring next week)...so all I did was wash, wash, wash and wash!
Of course we have a washing machine but it does still take time to sort the clothes, put them in the washing machine, put soap and the other chem needed, hang them, keeping an eye on the sky if it rains and checking on the clothes if they have dried already or getting them and folding them neatly, sorting the ones that needs to be ironed and putting the ones I have folded in the proper cabinets. Whew!
So I have decided to cut this cycle! Aside from saving on our water and electricity bill, I think I deserve to have more free time to do other things aside from the ones I just listed above!
And so starting this week, I will only change Sam and Liam's PJ's every Fridays and not every two days anymore. Anyways, they only get to wear them during sleep. I will also let Liam use his "pambahay" for 2-3 days now (depending on how hot it is and depending on his activities for the day), because at present he changes it everyday! Same goes for Sam. And I will let Liam reuse his jeans and shorts for 2-3 times as well before I put it in the hamper (again, depends on the circumstances). I guess there is no one to blame but me. I let them change their clothes everyday even if they didn't go out or perspired too much. I also add to the load of our laundry since I change my top everytime I start smelling like milk (I'm sorry I just can't handle the smell!) and my top starts to get wet (because of milk as well) since I am still breastfeeding Sam. Last but not the least, I should learn how to take that the sight of our hamper all filled up with dirty clothes does not mean I need to empty it quickly!
Yes, I need to do household chores, but to do laundry almost every day of the week, is just too much! I am giving myself a break!

homebound wednesdays
The past two weeks, I have been experiencing migraine attacks. I don't know what causes it -- me eating too much chocolates, or the usual lighting factor, or probably me thinking too much! I guess it's the last one. Don't laugh now, but I am dead serious!
I find myself doing sooooo many mental notes that I feel my head is going to already explode of all the things I have to remember (and do, for that matter -- schoolwork, Manila holidays, etc). I feel like my brain will reach its saturation point any day now hehehe.
I can't have migraine attacks everyday. I can't afford to get sick, so what is the solution to my problem? I promised myself that starting today, I will spend all my Wednesdays AT HOME. Yep, no going out, no going to the shops. (Hey, I can also save on money when I stay away from the shops!) Just at home to do all my backlogs -- the filing, the cleaning, the washing, the folding, the extras that I want to do. I guess in a way, it worked because by lunch time I was already able to do 2/3 of what I am supposed to do, removing a lot of mental notes in my head. Of course, I also had to stop myself from using the computer this morning and again later in the afternoon ;)
But if my migraine attacks perists, then it could be my becoming a chocoholic already, and that is another story ;)

School Holidays!
Yipee! My two-week school term holidays is here! I welcome it with much glee! I guess having to work more frequently the last two weeks made me savor this break. This break is definitely a much-needed break for me, considering that I am starting to feel the pregnancy symptoms again!
So what is in store for me for the next two weeks? Well, for one, my parents will be coming over from Manila and will be staying for the next two months here in Sydney. Their visit means more travels during the weekends for our family with my brother and sister's families. Aside from being busy with our parents' visit I will be busy doing my back log for the house chores I have missed doing while I was working the past two weeks. These include - mowing, laundry, ironing, and cleaning of the house. The last one will take most of my time because it entails 1001 things (or more. It's just those small things put together that eats up all the time. The funny thing is, at the end of the day, you'd realize you'd be doing more the next day. You would not really run out of things to do when you're at home. May it be cleaning and organizing the cupboards or cabinets. Sorting the clothes, sorting the files, sorting the baby stuff, oh the list will be endless!
Since it's the school holidays by nephew and my niece will most probably stay with me and my son the entire day. So that's a baby-sitting job for me as well. No worries because they are a bit older already than my little tot so it's not so hard to take care of them whenever they are around. But we might go out every now and then to go to shops that offer kids' activities during the school holidays.
Cooking and shopping? Well, I think we still have to empty our freezer of left-overs before we start going to the shops again to buy some more food to eat and cook at that.
Readings. I promised myself that 2 weeks before I have my next meeting with my REd group, I should be done with my presentation. But up to now, thanks to nausea and acid reflux, I really haven't had the chance to sit down and read and concentrate on my studies. I need to be always two steps ahead because of my condition. I would also want to brush up on my reading on blogging.
Surfing the net.Facebook. Friendster. Multiply. Inquirer. Philstar. Job -hunting. Blogging.Computer addict? Maybe :)
Sleep and takes lot of rest. My body is telling me to and with my condition, I just can't ignore it.
There, I am pretty sure this school will not be a boring one! Busy days ahead for me!
